Starting now through April 15th, 2015 Jay Nolan Community Services will be providing free VITA tax return preparation for qualified taxpayers.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is now in a partnership with Jay Nolan Community Services to offer tax help to people who generally make $53,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Starting now through April 15th Jay Nolan Community Services is offering assistance to people who qualify, free tax return preparation and filing services. These services are offered at Jay Nolan Community Services Main Office in Mission Hills, California by appointment only. Verification to see if a person qualifies can be scheduled by appointment by calling Jay Nolan Community Services VITA Specialist Karen Navarro at 818-361-6400 ext.132. Available services can vary at each site due to the availability of volunteers certified with the tax law expertise required for each return.
