There is nothing like having a family to give you the love and support you need to ensure a thriving life. That is why at Jay Nolan Community Services, we believe in keeping children with autism and developmental disabilities with their own family whenever possible. The support services that are available to families are geared toward providing the assistance that a family may need or desire in order to ensure that the family remains together.

  • Prior Knowledge and experience supporting individuals with Autism or other developmental disabilities. Experience can be personal as a volunteer or work related.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable automobile, current auto insurance and smart phone.
  • Ability to manage physical aspects of job.
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent or higher education depending on position.
  • Ability to support people with dignity and respect through being thoughtful and patient

Each individual receiving services from Jay Nolan Community Services Supported Living works with a Circle of Support comprised of the person being supported, family, friends, and other community members the individual chooses. The Circle of Support uses a holistic approach to develop a person-centered plan that assists the individual achieve their dreams.

At JNCS the main day to day support is provided in people’s homes, at work sites, and in the community supporting over 1000 individuals through our programs; Supported Living, Employment Services and Family Support Services. In order for our organization to support people in these ways, it is the responsibility of the Administrative Team to work in the background and make sure that all infrastructure is in place which will allow the people on the front line to do their job. We need to perform a myriad of functions to keep things moving forward (e.g. recruitment, payroll, billing, working with different shareholders, etc.). Often people don’t see the work that is performed by the Administrative Team (out of sight and behind the scenes). Our primary function is to keep things moving in the right direction so that people’s lives continue to thrive.

Essential functions of the job are denoted. Other duties may also be assigned. Please note that the essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure and/or geographic location. Reasonable accommodations may be made to allow individuals to perform the essential functions of the job or restructure marginal functions.

Responsible for administering JNCS benefits including processing enrollments, terminations, payments and COBRA compliance. Responsible for implementing the injury
and illness Prevention Plan and serving as the Safety Officer for the Safety and Worker’s Compensation plans.
