The mission of Jay Nolan Community Services, Inc. (JNCS) is to enable individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities to live fulfilling lives as members of the community by providing support services customized to their individual needs.

Milestones

1975

Jay Nolan Community Services is established by members of the Autism Society of Los Angeles.

1992

Jay Nolan Community Services administered 13 group homes

1993

Jay Nolan Community Services hires new Executive Director and new direction

1996

Jay Nolan Community Services closes all remaining group homes to pursue personalized and individualized services.

2011

  • Jay Nolan Community Services receives grant from the California State Communication Fund
  • Jay Nolan receives three year accreditation from the ACA

2012

  • Jay Nolan Community Services facilitates 97 people living in different homes of their own, 250 people in their family's home, supporting 127 people, 75 people in supported employment, and 3 currently own their own businesses.
  • Jay Nolan Community Services receives two year grant from DD Council Customized Employment

2014

Jay Nolan Community Services receives three year accreditation for their Employment Programs from CARF
