The Adaptive Skills Training services at Jay Nolan Community Services are designed to empower neurodiverse children and adults to enhance their independence and quality of life. This service focuses on equipping individuals with the necessary skills to navigate daily tasks, promote self-sufficiency, and foster greater community integration.

How does Adaptive Skills Training Work?

Adaptive Skills Training offers personalized one-on-one support tailored to families with a neurodiverse member facing significant challenges within both family and community contexts. This service aims to facilitate the individual’s participation in inclusive environments such as school, recreational activities, and personal interests. We work together with the individual and their family to develop a customized support plan focusing on the person’s desired goals and objectives. JNCS believes that the key to offering support is through developing relationships, trust, respect, dignity, and self-determination.
