Fostering Communication & Inclusion

Within Jay Nolan, Deaf Services is a designated space committed in identifying and collaborating with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) neurodiverse community and its Deaf community to ensure that access to language and culture is identified from the beginning with integrity for adolescents, young adults and adults.

With team collaboration and personalization, effective communication is the first step to ensuring an enriching experience for each individual receiving services. Deaf Services efforts are to provide ancillary supports for individuals of Jay Nolan where language accessibility is a cohesive part of an individual’s experience.

Jay Nolan Community Services seeks to provide adolescents, young adults/adults and their families with ancillary access to community resources and social and recreational opportunities.

JNCS Deaf Services: Interpreting

Our in-house American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters help ensure that persons served and staff are able to fully participate in effective facilitated communication. Our interpreters are committed to providing the best possible service to our Deaf and neurodiverse community and their families and the D/HH workforce.

Our interpreting supports are available to our Jay Nolan Deaf/HH staff, Deaf and neurodiverse individuals and their families.

Our interpreting services can also be requested by external clients not affiliated with JNCS
