Jay Nolan Community Services is proud to be celebrating 50 years of service to the neurodiverse community of California. We have had the opportunity to change the trajectory of thousands of lives over the course of five decades. The exciting thing about celebrating an anniversary is being able to look back with pride on what we’ve done, but really taking that as motivation for what needs to now be done. Where do we go from here?
In our next 50 years, we are looking at housing, which is just so unbelievably expensive, particularly in the state of California. We have started initiatives to actually purchase an apartment building to be able to create that reality of “my neighbor“ as people live in community together, neurodiverse, neurotypical— just being Californians. We are also looking at the adolescent and young adult community coming out of school. What is their future going to look like? No matter what, Jay Nolan is going to be standing there, right alongside, to make sure they have access to the services they need to build the life that they want.
