The ‘In The Same Boat’ Podcast Debuts August 25, 2026, Featuring Meaningful Conversations with Self-Advocates, Families, Professionals, and Community Leaders
Los Angeles, CA – August 10, 2026 – Jay Nolan Community Services today announces the launch of In The Same Boat, a new podcast dedicated to sharing conversations that inform, inspire, and empower individuals across the neurodiversity community. The podcast will officially launch on August 25, 2026.
Conceived by Jay Nolan Community Services CEO Edward Amey, In The Same Boat will feature engaging discussions with self-advocates, family members, professionals, educators, and thought leaders whose experiences and insights can help listeners navigate important issues related to neurodiversity, inclusion, independence, advocacy, and community engagement.
The podcast was created to serve as a trusted source of information and inspiration for people seeking practical knowledge, fresh perspectives, and authentic stories from those with lived experience.
“The idea behind In The Same Boat is simple,” said Edward Amey, CEO of Jay Nolan Community Services. “While each person’s journey is unique, there is tremendous value in learning from one another. Through these conversations, we hope to share knowledge, foster understanding, and create a platform that helps people feel more connected, informed, and empowered.”
The title reflects the belief that although experiences may vary, many members of the neurodiversity community face similar opportunities, challenges, and aspirations. The podcast aims to bridge perspectives and create meaningful dialogue among listeners from diverse backgrounds.
Topics Covered on the Podcast:
- Neurodiversity and inclusion
- Self-determination and independent living
- Employment and career development
- Family experiences and support systems
- Advocacy and leadership within the disability community
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Community engagement
- Health, wellbeing, and quality of life
Rather than focusing solely on challenges, the podcast will highlight solutions, possibilities, and the extraordinary perspectives that emerge when people are empowered to share their stories.
As an organization committed to advancing choice, opportunity, and inclusion for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, Jay Nolan Community Services sees the podcast as a natural extension of its mission and impact.
The first episode of In The Same Boat will be available beginning August 25, 2026, on major podcast platforms.
