National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) 2022

October 14, 2022

Every October, Jay Nolan Community Services celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) which draws attention to disability employment issues and celebrates the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.

This year’s theme, ā€œDisability: Part of the Equity Equation,ā€ highlights the essential role that individuals with disabilities play as valued and contributing members of the American workforce. Per the U.S. Department of Labor, this year’s theme “honors the significant diversity within the disability community….we are committed to advancing not only employment for people with disabilities, but also equity in how we do so. We want all people with disabilities, from all backgrounds, to have equal opportunities to work and thrive.”
