National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) 2021

October 5, 2021

Americaā€™s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The purpose of National Disability Employment Awareness Month is to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.

This year’s theme, ā€œAmericaā€™s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion,ā€ reflects the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities have full access to employment and community involvement during the national recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. This is double the case for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities who have been working essential jobs during the pandemic.
